Underground Excavations

The use of automatic monitoring systems during the construction phase of underground works allows to analyze the influence of the excavation activity on the surrounding environment. The information provided in near real-time by the instruments allow to continue the works in safety, validate the design hypothesis and limit the construction costs. The monitoring activity also plays an important role in the maintenance of existing tunnels. The collection of continuous data allows to identify any warning signs of a possible collapse and consequently improve the works safety standards.

ASE provides systems dedicated to the monitoring of tunnels under construction or existing ones. Cir Array and PreConv Array instruments are designed to monitor convergence and pre-convergence respectively, while Rad Array allows the near real-time measurement of deformations around the excavation.
