Andrea Segalini was born in 1968 and he is the CEO of ASE. He holds a Ph.D in Environmental Geo-Engineering obtained at the Technical School of Turin, since 1998. From 2003 to 2007 he had been Adjoined Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Parma, teaching the courses of Geotechnics and Engineering Geology. He becomes a Researcher in 2007 and he receives the title of Associate Professor of Engineering Geology in 2013. He holds the courses of Technical Geology, Slope Stability, Rock Mechanics, Geotechnics (he also teached Tunnelling in the past) at the Bachelor and Master students of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Geology and he has a course about tunnelling at the University of Zilina (Slovakia).
Corrado Carini was born in Parma (Italy) in 1968 . He graduated in Electronical Engineering at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma in 1994. Eng. Carini is the CEO of GEI Elettronica S.r.l. and Earth System S.r.l., companies based in the province of Parma. The first company has designed and marketed data loggers for the geotechnical sector since 2001. The second one was founded in 2011 and markets traditional instrumentations for geology sector. Eng. Carini is the vice president of ASE and has been the hardware and firmware product manager since 2013. He also loves music, travelling and nature.
Luca Chiapponi was born in Parma (Italy) in 1979. He graduated in Environmental Engineering in 2006 and he discussed his Ph.D. thesis in 2010 (University of Parma). He works in Parma at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, especially in the laboratory of hydraulics, covering design and executive roles. His professional expertise includes experimental measurements (2D-PIV, 3D-PIV, LDV, hot-wire and hot-film anemometers, pressure and level gauges) and numerical modelling (TELEMAC 2D, TOMAWAC, ARTEMIS, SWMM, and Fluent). Luca loves boardgames, mountain bike, and particularly his little baby Irene and his wife Elena.
Andrea Carri was born in Montecchio Emilia, province of Reggio Emilia (Italy) in 1990. He got the Master degree in Environmental Engineering in 2015 and he obtained his Ph.D at the University of Parma in 2019, with a thesis about innovative intrumentations and methods for landslide risk management. His mainly research interests are related to automatic monitoring instrumentations, software developing (MatLab) and self-learning algorithms, data analysis and time of failure prediction. Andrea is also a professional pianist and a composer and loves pets, travelling and nature.
Roberto Savi was born in Parma (Italy) in 1988. He got the Master degree in Civil Engineering in 2017, with a thesis about the development of MUMS Cir and Rad Arrays and now he is a Ph.D student at the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma, studying the development of RockFall and Debris Flow Safety Network. In 2016 he worked on fracture mechanics of bituminous conglomerate. His main interests are geotechnical monitoring, modelling, tunnelling, infrastructures and geotechnical fields. Roberto loves music (he is a professionale DJ), sport and travelling.
Alessandro Valletta was born in Verona (Italy) in 1991. He graduated in Environmental Engineering in 2016, and he is a Ph.D student at the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma, studying methods for Time of Failure prediction. In 2017, he attended a II-Level Master Course in Analysis and Mitigation of Hydrogeological Risk. His main interests are related to geotechnical monitoring, forecasting models and hydrogeological problems. Alessandro loves trekking, nature and music.
Alberto Sillani was born in Parma (Italy) in 1996. He studied Computer Science at the ITIS Leonardo Da Vinci (Parma) and he got his diploma in 2016. He holds the role of Computer Programmer and he is the responsible for the installation, configuration and testing of the main software products. Alberto loves home automation, programming and music.
Edoardo Cavalca was born in 1991 in Parma (Italy). He graduated in Environmental Engineering in 2017 and he is a Ph.D student at the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma. He is the project manager of MUSA, the innovative tool for environmental monitoring of museums and historical buildings. His main interests are geotechnical monitoring and modelling. Edoardo loves music, tennis and travelling.
