In such type of monitoring, in fact, the determination of reliable displacement threshold, either cumulated or localized, is of paramount importance in order to activate alert levels or alarms. When dealing with geotechnical structures, such as internally and externally braced excavations, clay embankments, embankments on soft soil, embankments dams and cut slopes in soils or rocks, the installation of the MUMS device can provide useful informations about the soil/rock conditions at the initial stage of construction and during each subsequent stage. The relative displacement recorded during each stage can immediately be compared with those anticipated during the design phase and, eventually, an alarm can be automatically issued at the appearance of unfavorable differences.

The web based application provides basic graphical visualization of data and enables the download of the full database or of portion of it in a comma separated values (csv) format, ready to be imported in popular spreadsheet or graphical visualization software.
