DESCRIPTION

Parma Apennine area is characterized by beautiful scenarios, where people go to live searching for peace and tranquility. Unfortunately, sometimes it is necessary to face landslides that could interact with buildings and cause cracks or instability phenomena.

This case study is about a private house subjected to a slow displacement. In order to understand the dynamic of the different parts that compose the structure, a MUMS system has been installed using a series of Tilt Meters. The instrumentation also works as an Early Warning System.

The site has been instrumented with 2 MUMS Klino Arrays. The first Array is equipped with 4 high-resolution multi-parametric tilt sensors Klino Link HR 3D, while the second array has 1 sensor of the same typology.
